FAQ/Account/Identity verification (KYC)

Identity verification (KYC)

In order to continue to contribute to the development of the cryptocurrency industry, POKKET officially implemented KYC on June 1, 2021. KYC stands for "Know Your Customer" and is a standard procedure for any company offering financial services globally. It helps combat fraud, money laundering, and terrorist financing, amongst other malicious activities.

All users are required to pass KYC identity verification to use Pokket products and services. *Exceptions apply to existing customers on total account savings of up to $9,000 for a limited time. You may complete the identity verification process on your Account page, under Account Settings.

Please note that the following nationals are restricted from using POKKET as per our Terms of Service, and therefore are not able to complete the identity verification:
United States of America, the Republic of Seychelles, Mainland China, Cuba, Crimea and Sevastopol, Iran, Syria, North Korea and Sudan, or any other jurisdiction where the services offered by Pokket are restricted and prohibited.

The verification process normally takes only few minutes. If manual review is required, we will send you an email notification upon completion.

Please note that POKKET only requires personal information for KYC/AML purposes and we don't share this information with other third parties. Our Privacy Policy can be found here.
