KYC & AML Program Update (July)
POKKET KYC and AML Program update as of 1 July 2021
In May 2021, we’ve announced that we’ll introduce KYC & AML program as a result of recent developments in regulatory environment globally. You can read it from our announcement here.
KYC Program Start Date
In our announcement, it is noted that POKKET will start limiting the maximum active savings amount of each customer at $9,000 (the “Max Savings Limit for Unidentified Customers”) starting 1 July 2021, unless such customer completes the KYC verification process. This means that if you wish to have unlimited active savings amount at POKKET, you will need to complete KYC verification process.
However, we will postpone the commencement date of the Max Savings Limit for Unidentified Customers to give our users more time to complete the KYC process. The new commencement date is now 1 August 2021.
How to complete the KYC verification process:
1. Login to your Account
2. In Account Settings, click on the Verify button to open the popup window.
3. Follow the instructions to complete the verification process. It takes about 5 minutes to complete.
Personal Data Security
We have made extra efforts to make sure that your personal data is safe with us, as outlined below.
Our KYC service provider is GetID, a GDPR compliant company based in EU with appropriate measures ensuring data protection. The company uses ISO/IEC 27001:2013, 27017:2015, 27018:2014 certified architecture for data processing and your personal data is encrypted with Secure Sockets Layered (SSL) technology. They will not store your personal information after the KYC verification is completed and they will not use it for other purposes. You can learn more about GetID here.
Additionally, we have implemented a secure storage solution for your personal data, which is not accessible to unauthorized persons both inside and outside our organization. Furthermore, we have decoupled the KYC verification data from the email address you use to log in to our platform (your email address is not sent to our KYC provider either). This is done both internally and externally, so there is no way to connect the two unless we decrypt the data.
